30th birthday card

30th birthday card

What a year for special birthdays! My son was 30, my mother-in-law 90 and my husband 60. My other son’s fiancée was 30 too (her card was blogged earlier as I entered it in a challenge).

Hereare  a few photos of the 30th and the 60th cards. I used the Fanciful Flight die again but put the wings all to one side so he seems to be flying sideways. I cut the numerals with a sizzlit die set and used both positive and negative bits. I filled the aperture with micro beads for the numbers on the front of the card, mounted them and the butterfly onto flower shapes cut from nestabilities. I used the same two dies for the stopper inside the easel.

The Flippin card was coloured with ProMarkers and mounted on blue vellum in an aperture card. There was also a decoupaged scooter inside the card (sorry, forgot to photograph that) as a nod to his Mod days – he’s all grown-up now and has his GoldWing instead :).
