Some time ago I was challenged to use ‘face stamps’ in a variety of ways. This one is a stamp from Rubbadubadoo, it was inked just once and therefore the images get more faded. I tore the paper round the three faces, coloured the edges with a darker shade of purple than the cardstock and then layered it onto black mulberry paper. The face was stamped again on a puzzle piece edged with a gold pen.
The next face is from Non Sequitur, Time plate. I believe we were only to use 3 colours direct to paper here. I know I didn’t like it much at the time but it’s grown on me – I now think it’s quite attractive. The same stamp was used again this time using metallic inks to add the colour and once more it was stamped three times and ColorBox Chalk inks used for the colouring.
I tried adding the colour with Brilliance Peacock inks and used Carol’s Cube dotted square, Goddess dictionary meaning from Lost Coast and my favourite ‘lady’ – I’ll find out her name for you.
She’s here again in the final card, stamped with green StazOn on acetate for the main image and then twice onto shrink plastic with red StazOn. All mounted on the pink card over-stamped with pink using Rubbadubadoo stamps, same ones used on the dark purple background where I used gold ink.
