This is most certainly not a flat card! It started as a 5″ x 7″ card base with a layer of thick, green mulberry paper and then a thinner, brown layer. I have this lovely green ribbon in my stash with gold leaves on it which I laid on the diagonal and added four buttons in the corners.
I stamped the Cloisonné Flower onto some patterned paper and then cut it with my new Sizzix die. I then used card from some packaging in a deep green and die-cut that as well. I swapped the squares from one into the other to give the two panels.
After die-cutting the flower I coloured it with a green die ink and triple embossed it with UTEE. I stamped the flower with gold but it didn’t look right so after heating it again it melted into the background and just left a nice gold layer onto which I stamped the flower in black. The green crystal flower was just a little bit of ‘bling’ I fancied. 🙂
