We’ve been having discussions recently about the cost of posting cards! As soon as you add a brad or a gem – or sometimes even one layer – to your card the postal charges rocket! It’s quite a challenge to make an interesting single-layer card but I’ve had a go! 😉
I started with a large – 5″ x 7″ – card base and masked-off a wide, vertical panel. I stamped the MS Cloisonné Fan Stamp with a Versamark pad and then heat embossed with white powder. I coloured the panel with the ink blending tools my hubby recently made for me using firstly Mustard Seed Distress Ink, next Adirondack Wild Plum and lastly Dusty Concord Distress Ink.
I wiped over the panel with a clean paper towel to remove any ink off the fans and then removed the masking tape. I edged the panel with a gold metallic pen and then the simple greeting to finish.
Unfortunately, I smudged some ink by the fold of the card so I inked the edges all round to disguise it. 🙂
