Wednesday

This started out as another easy-to-post card but I got a little carried away with gems!

It’s another 4″ x 6″ card and the first step was to cut a circle from some scrap card – I used a Spellbinder die. I laid this over the card and then dampened the circle with a sponge brush before sprinkling Brusho powders in blues and green onto the wet area. I sprayed more warm water on this to make the powder dissolve and the colours run into each other. Once I’d got my ‘ocean’ to my liking I blotted it with a paper towel and let it dry thoroughly.

I stamped the large SeaHorse in black but, and I didn’t notice at first, I smudged the tail! Hence the plethora of crystals!!!

Using my trusty Gelly Roll pen – again! – I went over the outlines of the seahorse so it has a lovely shimmer to it. It would be a simple, cheap-to-mail card if I hadn’t slipped when stamping, I meant well! 😉
