My colouring always seems to be very child-like but it’s something I’m determined to master.
I have read and watched lots of tutorials so there’s no excuse for not getting it right – or at least a little better!
I needed to make a birthday card for a friend of mine so dug out this lovely stamp (Rose Stem Script by Elusive Images) to make this tall, thin card. I used some Tapestry Peg Stamps to decorate and edged it in green – I do seem to have an aversion to leaving a card white. The image was stamped onto some heavy watercolour paper and then I started colouring. I used several colours of pinks for the flower and the same for the leaves with greens.
Once it was coloured I tore the edges and added some ‘ageing’ with Distress Inks and some dots of Diamond Glaze to make it look like raindrops.
In all, I’m quite pleased with the end result – will keep practising!
