At Stamp Club in May the Show ‘n Tell theme was ‘Transport‘. I started making a card and realised that it was more like a vacation than transport so I had to keep adding more and more until I thought it said transport at last.
The base card is just a purchased white card blank; the background layer was made from dark silver cardstock which I ran (twice) through my Grand Calibur in a Tim Holtz Texture Fade embossing folder – Postcard. The cardstock was much bigger than the folder so I had to emboss half at a time, it matched-up quite well. I then swiped over the top with a gold pigment ink and heat embossed in clear powder.
I did the same embossing treatment to a small piece of card to use as the tag and a matting layer under the car image. There’s a band of card stamped with ‘transport’ images layered onto more of the same silver card with a gold die-cut shape peeping out from over and under the band.
The tag has a smaller tag on top which is a shrink plastic piece stamped with all sorts of different modes of transport. The dots around the edge are made with a gold-coloured pearlescent glue.
Oh, by the way, I used my Perfect Layers tools a lot on this card – as usual! 😆
