Twisted Easel

Twisted Easel

This is my week to be Card Captain* for the Michael Strong Group and so I’ve made my five cards and here is where I’ll give more details on how they’re made.

*[a card is posted on the MS Yahoo group each day for 5 days by a volunteer – hopefully as inspiration to the other members or maybe just a little eye-candy 😉 )

Today, Monday, I’m showing a Twisted Easel card which I’m sure you’ll be able to find instructions for if you search Google :). It’s a simple construction and a pretty simple stamping technique – click on each photo for written details.

Hetty's Coffee Cups were used for the whole card, love this stamp set.

Front closed

The large cup was stamped and embossed with gold powder and then coloured with ProMarkers, the lacey circle die was 'blinged-up' a bit with pearls

I used the 'steam' design inside, stamped with Versamark and brushed with pearly powder; the sentiment was stamped and die-cut on black and then a second, white diecut slightly off-set behind it for a shadowed look

Card Open

The little cup stamped and coloured like the large one and then die-cut with the small lacey circle, this is raised on 3D foam pads to enable it to be used as the 'stop' for the easel card design
