I am so sorry – I haven’t done a blog post for ages! There’s been a lot of turmoil recently and a family bereavement after a painful illness – it’s rather taken over everybody’s lives. Anyhow , I’m back with a vengeance – all my Christmas cards are finished, including the set I had to make for my Mother-in-Law after she’d seen some I’d made and decided they were nicer than shop-bought. 🙂

I shall post the photos below, click on an individual one for a full-sized photo and any details and then click next or right arrow through the rest of them. Enjoy, and perhaps take some inspiration?

Decoupage

Although not my favourite crafting technique, I made a whole bunch of these very quickly with die-cut decoupage sheets. The Scrolls I gave to my M-i-L with her collection and the 12 Dames of Christmas I shall give to people who might just appreciate the images! 😉

Joy & Merry

I have a stamp and embossing folder set called Joy & Merry. The stamp is the same size as the folder and, once you’ve stamped it, you run it through a die-cutting machine to emboss the design. It’s a little hard to see on the pink versions – nicer in real-life! The green ones have the Spellbinder Ornament hanging freely.

The one on the right is the second version - I added ink to the folder before embossing it - it works better I think as it highlights the bricks better.

The Noel was cut into the ornament die cut and mounted onto beautifully embossed card.

The Swirly Tree is on a lower layer with gold seed beads filling the apertures, the main layer is raised on foam pads but it's hard to see that in the photo.

Glitter was added to the whole of the large circle after the tree had been stuck down (double-sided sticky sheet).
