I happened to mention to my husband that I’d like more colour blending tools – I have only the one ‘proper’ one – and, as he’s recently developed an interest in woodworking, he decided to have a go at making some.
We had several ‘consultations’ about the size and shape and then off he went to play. You will see from the photos that they’re all sorts of different shapes and sizes! The one with the black handle is the proper one and the rest are made from various pieces of wood he had ‘in stock’.
Once they were finished – and he’s now got it down to a fine art – I added some velcro and then the purchased ink pads as I’d found they really do work better than other cheaper felt stuff. He made the rack for them too so I have them nice and handy, a small round one and a larger rectangular one for each colour group. I identified them with ProMarkers so I can see at a glance which one I need – and I’ve even got spares! I shall be using those with my alcohol inks. Aren’t I one lucky crafter? 😀
